L-39 Albatross Featured TV Shows, Films and Airshows

Wild Child is an L-39 Albatross Jet, operated by Mach One Aviation Inc. and flown by Pilot Dave Riggs.

In 2003 Dave Riggs and co-pilot Jeff Accord set a new world speed record in Wild Child at 561 MPH flying a route from Los Angeles to Phoenix.

Wild Child is a civilian operated version of the Soviet Designed and Czech made Albatross L-39
which is still in use today as a jet trainer and ground attack fighter.

Wild Child raced in the Reno Air Races in 2004 taking third place and has been featured in more than a dozen TV shows and films including SUCCUBUS HELL BENT and Discovery Channels WINGS TO ADVENTURE. It has performed at air shows and been featured with the Girls of Playboy in 2005.

Dave Riggs Pilot, Producer and five time World Aviation Speed Record Holder operates several L-39's for TV and Film. As CEO of Mach One Aviation, Inc. located in Los Angeles, Mr. Riggs is frequently called upon to produce complex flight sequences for films such as JAR HEAD, CASINO ROYALE, IRON MAN and others.

Mr. Riggs has gone on to become the first American to fly from a Chinese Military air base since World War II
during the China International Air Races in 2010.
